- The VerbCompass mobile application

By using VerbCompass, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
The VerbCompass application does not require you to create a VerbCompass account or sign in. Study information created in the application is stored locally on your device as described below.
If you voluntarily submit the Founding Tester Request form on our website, we may collect:
- Your name
- Your Google-account email address
- Your Spanish level
- The ways you currently study Spanish
- An optional message you choose to provide
We use this information only to review requests, administer Google Play Closed Testing, communicate with testers, collect feedback, and administer Founding Tester benefits.
If you voluntarily submit the Founding Tester Feedback form, we may collect your Google-account email address, feedback category, description, optional device model and Android version, and your optional permission for us to contact you about the report.
We use feedback submissions to identify problems, understand the testing experience, improve VerbCompass, follow up when permitted, and document the results of the Closed Test.
If you voluntarily submit the Educator Feedback form, we may collect your educator role, teaching context, the workflow you evaluated, what you found useful, what was confusing or missing, an optional email address, and your optional permission for us to contact you about the feedback.
We use educator feedback to understand whether VerbCompass is useful in real teaching settings, improve the resource, and follow up only when you provide an email address and permission. Do not submit student names, student work, or other student information through this form.
Do not use the Founding Tester Request form to submit passwords, financial information, phone numbers, home addresses, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Your study activity remains on your own device unless you choose to share it, such as when sending us feedback.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If our privacy practices change in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect those changes.
8. Data Security
Your learning data remains on your own device.
While no software can guarantee absolute security, we minimize the collection of personal information and follow platform best practices when implementing application features.
9. Form Information Retention and Requests
Information from requests that do not result in participation in the Founding Tester program may be retained until no later than 90 days after the Founding Tester program ends.
For participating Founding Testers, we may retain limited contact and participation information as needed to administer testing and provide promised Founding Tester benefits, including Lifetime Full Access to VerbCompass — Spanish Verb Companion on Android and its future updates and upgrades, associated with the Google account used during testing.
Founding Tester feedback may be retained as needed to improve the app, document the Closed Test, and maintain a record of issues and changes. We may remove identifying contact information when it is no longer needed for those purposes.
Educator feedback may be retained as needed to evaluate and improve VerbCompass. We may remove optional contact information when it is no longer needed for follow-up. Educator feedback does not enroll the submitter in the Founding Tester program.
To request correction or deletion of information submitted through a website form, email privacy@verbcompass.com.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically as VerbCompass evolves.
When significant changes are made, the Effective Date at the beginning of this document will be updated to indicate the most recent revision.

Our Privacy Philosophy
VerbCompass exists to help people learn languages—not to collect personal information.
We believe educational software should respect user privacy by default, store data locally whenever practical, and collect only the information necessary to provide the features users expect.
That philosophy guides the design of VerbCompass today and will continue to guide future development.
